I can't believe that tomorrow is New Years Eve.. where has the year gone. It seems like the older I get the faster time goes by. We had a wonderful Christmas, except the fact that the flu ran its course through my entire family. We weren't able to have Christmas Eve at my mom's house due to the flu. Other than that, everything was very special for Brynn's 1st Christmas. Of course she got a ton of stuff, no thanks to Josh and I. Between the grandparents and aunts and uncles on both sides of the family she got pretty spoiled if you can imagine.
I do this every year around this time but I have to set my New Years resolutions. I am hoping this year I can stick to them better than in the past.
First, I want Josh and I to start going to church as a family. It seems like the only time we go together is when we have family in town or are out of town with family and go. I was raised in a family that went to church every Sunday together and I want Brynn to have that same thing. I have gone to two different churches in Terre Haute since we have moved here and I like both of them alot. I have gone alot by myself before she was born , and could get Josh to go with me some then. It isn't even really that is he is opposed to it, but I just don't seem to force it on him either.
Second, I want to get back into shape.. don't we all. I am just sick about how I sort of let myself go. I just got so wrapped up in being a new mom and other things that I just didn't take the time to really take care of myself. I have already signed up to do the mini marathon like I said before so that will hopefully get me the motivation to start lifting weights and doing pilates again.
Third, I want to do volunteer work. It is hard to find time to do that, but it is so important. Josh and I are so blessed and have so much to be thankful for that we should give something back to the community.
So I hope everyone will help me stay true to these resolutions, check in on me every once in a while and see how I am doing!
Happy New Year!!

Sounds like a great plan for the new year. I hope that this time next year you will look back and be thankful that you met your goals. Good luck with the mini....
